QILEE (Qilee Group), a global provider of integrated water treatment solutions with more than 20 years of experience in industrial and municipal water management, has announced the launch of its Integrated RO Water Desalination System.
The Q-RO-Series is a large-flow municipal-grade system with a single-unit water production capacity of 50–2,000 m³/day. Multiple units can be operated in parallel to expand capacity to the 10,000-ton-per-day level. The plant shown in the image adopts a multi-unit, multi-set RO module parallel configuration.
The system functions to desalinate and purify raw water, including river water, brackish water, and seawater. It successfully removes salt content, suspended solids, colloids, COD, and microorganisms to produce compliant drinking water (compliant with WHO drinking-water standards) or industrial process water.
Applications and Target Markets
The Q-RO-Series is designed for municipal water supply; specifically serving as a potable water supply for towns, particularly island and riverside regions in Southeast Asia. It is also engineered for industrial water applications, providing pure process water and circulating make-up water for factories. Additional applications include seawater and brackish-water desalination, surface-water purification and treatment, and centralized water-supply projects for large mines and industrial parks.
QILEE’s target regions for this system include the Middle East (specifically EPC infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia and the UAE), Southeast Asia, Central Asia, and large-scale coastal industrial zones in China. Target customer groups encompass municipal water-supply groups, EPC general contractors, large-scale steel and chemical plants, and environmental-treatment engineering companies.
Technical Specifications and Configuration
The complete system integrates pretreatment, high-pressure RO membrane modules, a chemical dosing system, product-water storage, and centralized monitoring and control. Inlet TDS can reach up to 45,000 ppm under seawater operating conditions. The system recovery rate is 70–80% for brackish water and 40–50% for seawater.
The system’s configuration includes:
Operation and Control
The system operates fully automatically via fully automatic PLC control, supporting both local touchscreen operation and remote monitoring through a centralized management platform. It features automatic flushing and fault alarm functions. Automatic shutdown protection can also be configured to safeguard the system during abnormal operating conditions. Periodic chemical cleaning of the RO membranes is required.
