DIVEVOLK Unveils SeaTouch 6 Pro: 60 m Waterproof, Full Touchscreen, Underwater photography accessory ecosystem, Zero Compromise

September 17 07:13 2026
The 6th-generation patented underwater touchscreen technology maximizes smartphone’s native capabilities: underwater photography, dive training assistance, multimedia entertainment, and surface GPS safety with emergency calls. Comes standard with a snorkel red filter and desiccant pad. Now available alongside the brand-new half-water lens and a full lineup of underwater photography accessories.

ZHUHAI, China – September 16, 2026 – DIVEVOLK today announced the SeaTouch 6 Pro, the sixth generation of its patented flexible underwater touchscreen housing for smartphones. The SeaTouch 6 Pro is rated IPX8 to 60 meters. The phone’s own touchscreen is the control surface: divers tap, swipe and shoot with bare fingers as they do on land, using the native camera, third-party apps, music, video and messaging. There is nothing to install and no separate control scheme to learn.

The touchscreen technology behind the SeaTouch 6 Pro has twice won the boot dive award for Innovation, and the previous generation earned a ScubaLab Best Buy. The new housing brings six main upgrades: a sixth-generation touchscreen film, a snorkeling red filter in the box, a desiccant pad slot, a larger phone envelope, a new dome lens structure, and a touch window that supports the native swipe-up gesture on large phones. A triple-seal buttonless body and a modular mount system connect the housing to lenses, lights, brackets and underwater Bluetooth shutter.

Sixth-generation film: 150,000 swipes, and no more AssistiveTouch for swipe-up

The SeaTouch 6 Pro is built around DIVEVOLK’s sixth-generation patented flexible touchscreen membrane. Finger pressure passes through the film to the phone’s capacitive screen, so the phone keeps its normal operation at depth: tap to focus, pinch to zoom, switch lenses, change modes, open an editing app or a fish-ID app, review footage between frames. There is no companion app, no Bluetooth relay for basic control and no special camera mode to configure.

The sixth-generation film uses a new material and a new multi-layer assembly process. The swipe endurance standard rises from 100,000 cycles on the previous generation to 150,000, and touch sensitivity is higher. The touch window has been reworked to cover more of the screen: on the previous generation some large phones could not swipe up from the bottom edge to return to the home screen and relied on AssistiveTouch instead, while the SeaTouch 6 Pro restores the native swipe-up gesture and makes touches along the screen edges easier to register. Newer phones no longer need their screen protector removed before going into the housing.

Ready in seconds: no vacuum pump, desiccant pad included

The phone seals in seconds, and the housing is ready to enter the water with no vacuum pump and no setup routine. A new built-in desiccant pad slot keeps the lens glass fog-free; pads swap in seconds without tools, and the SeaTouch 6 Pro standard package includes them, so a fresh pad can go in before every dive in water with large temperature differences.

Snorkeling red filter in the box: true colors from 0 to 10 meters

Sea water absorbs red light within the first few meters, which is why shallow-water photos come out blue and green. The SeaTouch 6 Pro ships with a dedicated snorkeling red filter, tuned through repeated rounds of color calibration, that restores the color of coral, fish and skin from 0 to 10 meters and suits most shallow-water scenes. The filter clips directly onto the housing’s lens window with no lens bracket, for snorkeling, freediving, pool shoots and all kinds of water sports.

60 meters, three seals, no buttons

The SeaTouch 6 Pro is IPX8-certified to 60 meters, twice the 30-meter depth most recreational divers reach. Three layers of precision seals, a minimal seal-cover design and a buttonless structure remove the openings that cause leaks in conventional housings. The body is impact-resistant engineering plastic, with aluminum alloy protective frames around the touchscreen edge and behind the lens glass, and is designed for repeated daily use on boats, beaches and in gear bags. The housing weighs 475 g on land and about 150 g in the water with an iPhone 16 Pro Max installed, close to neutral buoyancy.

Internal clearance widened to 18 mm for iPhone and Android imaging flagships

The SeaTouch 6 Pro widens the maximum internal thickness from 15 mm on the previous generation to 18 mm and accepts phones up to 180.0 × 82.5 × 11.2 mm with a camera bump up to 17 mm. That envelope covers every iPhone through the iPhone 17 Pro Max, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, and thick-module Android flagships such as the vivo X300 Ultra and Xiaomi 17 Ultra; mainstream models from Huawei, Google, OnePlus and OPPO are on the compatibility list as well. The housing stays in service when the diver changes phone or brand.

New dome lens structure: one dome covers every phone camera

The housing has an integrated dome port mounting slot, so the second-generation Dome Lens fits directly with no extra adapter. The lens window is larger than on the previous version and covers the main and ultra-wide cameras at once, so the diver switches phone lenses underwater without repositioning the dome. The AquaLock structure sets with one click and holds a steady waterline between the dome and the housing glass for clean split shots.

The modular mount connects the accessory range

The SeaTouch 6 Pro is designed around a modular mount system that links the housing to DIVEVOLK’s accessories. Most of them have been updated for the new generation:

  • Expansion Clamp with 67 mm lens adapter. An aviation-grade aluminium clamp with M6, 1/4-inch, cold-shoe and M8 interfaces. A six-section adjustable adapter arm centres a wet lens over any phone’s camera position. Two M8 holes accept a second arm, so a wide-angle and a macro lens can be carried together and swapped underwater without unscrewing anything.
  • Internal Red Filter. Clips inside the wide-angle lens barrel instead of stacking on top of it, so the ultra-wide keeps its full field with no vignetting. Tuned for 5 to 25 meters, it covers the deeper range while the snorkeling red filter in the box covers 0 to 10 meters.
  • Underwater External Shutter. A Bluetooth 5.4 tactile shutter rated to 60 meters and tested to more than 100,000 presses. The SeaTouch 6 Pro offers two mounting positions, so the shutter falls under the thumb in either a left- or right-hand grip for low-angle macro work.
  • Horizontal and Vertical Quick-Switch Mount, Macro Screen Magnifier, Protective Cover, Travel Case and Back Glass Tempered Film complete the system. Kits run from Water Sports to Ultimate.

GPS and emergency calls at the surface

GPS and cellular signals pass through the engineering-plastic body. At the surface, without opening the housing, a diver can check position, navigate back to the boat or make a call for help. Photos and video shot on the dive can be shared to social platforms straight from the water.

More to do underwater than shoot

Because the whole touchscreen is available, the phone does more underwater than take photos and video. Divers can identify fish on the spot with apps such as Linne Lens, edit in Lightroom between dives, record with both cameras at once in DoubleTake, and play back footage underwater. These are apps already on the phone; nothing is installed for the housing.

With the SeaLink Underwater Smartphone Data Transmitter, which carries the phone’s signal from as deep as 30 meters to a surface unit, the same housing serves as a live-streaming and video-call terminal for research, education and broadcast teams.

DIVEVOLK comment

“Every generation of SeaTouch has done the same job: take away whatever sits between the diver and the phone in their hand,” said the DIVEVOLK Marketing & Communications team. “The sixth generation keeps the phone’s own touchscreen. The film, the sealing, the phone envelope and the mount that carries the accessories were all redone.”

“The SeaTouch 6 Pro lets a phone work underwater the way it works on land. Simple, safe, professional, and ready for the next dive.”

Editor’s Notes

  • The SeaTouch 6 Pro is a button-free, full-touchscreen housing. Once the phone is sealed inside, its physical volume, power and side buttons are not accessible; all control is through the phone’s touchscreen via the DIVEVOLK membrane. A tactile shutter is provided by the optional DIVEVOLK Underwater External Shutter.
  • Phone features such as 4K/8K video, ProRAW and lens switching are the phone’s own capabilities and are accessed through the touchscreen inside the housing. Linne Lens, Lightroom and DoubleTake are third-party apps installed by the user.
  • Wi-Fi, cellular and GPS signals do not propagate through water; the positioning, calling and sharing described here apply at the surface. Underwater connectivity is provided by the SeaLink Underwater Smartphone Data Transmitter.
  • High-resolution product images, accessory photography and a generation-to-generation comparison sheet are available on request from the DIVEVOLK media team.
